Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description

Join our partner's Security Engineering Team now and be part of a constantly growing company in Budapest!

You will be responsible for: 

• Defining Enterprise Network Security Strategies
• Global Security Products (Firewalls, Proxies, WAFs) and solutions
• Researching and developing security architectures with other R&D teams
• Doing hands-on lab testing of emerging cyber security technologies with using end to end architecture readily available in the lab
• Benchmark tests of various security products
• Write and publish designs, test results and best practice guides for the global audience
• Developing and maintaining relationships, ensure co-operation with security companies
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensure close co-operation with major suppliers and security companies
• Call out and identify risk and exposure as it relates to products and architectures from a security and threat perspective
• Lead and influence a virtual global team, act as a senior subject matter expert for subject security technologies and disciplines
• The development of large scale enterprise security strategies, advise on emerging technologies with a special focus on web application protections

Qualifications

Your ideal background: 

• Experience with multiple security disciplines, TCP/IP technologies
• University or College degree in any STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) area or similar knowledge
• Understanding of layered defense concepts 
• Large Scale Network and Security design experience 
• Experience with IPS/ADS technologies and Firewalls, LAN security components, Network/Routing technologies
• Experience with multiple security disciplines and strong understanding of layered defense concepts.
• Experience defining enterprise security strategy and ecosystem across diverse products
• Strong hands on experience with firewall and proxy technologies
• Large Scale Network and Security design experience is essential
• Work with and understand regulatory and risk management requirements
• Experiment in Scripting (Bash/Python/Perl)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux
