Job Description

What will you do:

  • Serve as regional advisory counsel on cybersecurity matters
  • Provide legal guidance to the company's Cybersecurity Center, Security and Investigate Services
  • Counsel the Cybersecurity Center regarding the development and implementation of cybersecurity and network incident response plans, penetration testing, and compliance with local regulations and industry standards regarding network security and investigative strategies
  • Providing counsel concerning prevention, response, mitigation, breach notification, regulator inquiries, customer notifications and other risks and obligations that can flow from network intrusions
  • Assist with the company's legal response to information security and cyber events including oversight of international/federal/state government and regulatory notifications
  • Advise on data/privacy sharing and cross border issues/restrictions
  • Review and assist on the drafting of cyber-related presentations, exercises and trainings as well as present/participate as needed

Qualifications

What will you need:

  • Juris Doctor (or equivalent) law degree
  • At least 5 years experience – with 2 years experience advising clients on cyber/privacy/data issues or supporting a technology/information security team
  • The ability to engage directly with internal clients and lead projects
  • Highly responsive and client relationship focused
  • Strong communication skills, experience in stakeholder management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with unforeseen events
  • Strong time-management skills, willingness to work outside normal hours during emergency events
  • Fluency in English 

Preferred:

  • Work experience in/with financial institutions
